I’m trying something a bit different, here. Giving you a different way to support me, personally, as an independent creator. Instead of buying just 1 thing, you could show your ongoing support of and faith in my creativity by buying a subscription to it. Become a patron of the arts, even on a budget. For as little as $75, you can buy a 1-year subscription to my creations. To my books, which I intend to continue writing perhaps 4/year, and to my art as well. A standard subscription for those of you in and around the Phoenix area, for $75, includes:
- 1 copy of each new book I release that year
- 1 original piece of art*
- 1 of my hand-pulled screen-printed T-Shirts (your choice & size)
- Personal emails w/links to each new eBook/audiobook release
- In-person, hand delivery of all items
- 20% off all additional purchases (not including tax)
For an additional $35, patrons nationwide replace in-person, hand delivery with timely shipping of all items via USPS Priority Mail. Upon request -for those of you who don’t like to read- I also offer an art-only subscription for the same price, wherein instead of giving you copies of each new book, I’ll give you an original 5×7″ mini-painting every time I release a new book.
*The 1 original piece of art will normally be 8×10″, but in the unexpected event that my productivity does not give you at least $75 of value during the year (based on my books’ cover prices, the price of a shirt & the then-current value of the expected 8×10″), I’ll substitute a 16×20″ painting and cover the difference in shipping, myself. This is both a motivation to me to stay productive & a guarantee to you that you’ll get your money’s worth.
If you have deep pockets and want to be a bigger patron of the arts, for $500/year I’ll give you everything in the standard subscription plus a full-size (16×20″ to 24×36″ range) original painting every quarter (4/year). (I’ll also have to charge you for whatever shipping costs, if you aren’t local. Sorry.) If you’re a real philanthropist who wants to invest thousands, let me know – we’ll work something special out.
Finally, for whatever cost level you subscribe at now, you’ll be locked into that price for as long as you stay subscribed. As the value of my work goes up, if/when I release hardback books in addition to the paperbacks, whatever: You’ll continue to get everything at today’s prices, if you like. (Though, of course, since the point is to help support me, I’ll be glad to take a fair price, too.)
Consider it. Then call me, email me, or ask me about a subscription in person.
